The purpose of College Access Mentoring (CAM) is to provide students at East St. Louis High School with the resources to not only get into the college of their choice but also make the most of the college experience. The morning program starts during the student’s sophomore year with innovative instruction in personal development and adds/builds on college readiness principles until they graduate high school.Throughout the years, mentors will share college experiences, help students prepare for the SAT, assist with college essay and scholarship writing, etc.
The after-school tutoring program helps the students at East St. Louis High School ensure success in the classroom. In addition to simply helping with homework and preparing them for tests, we strive to work on the underlying foundations of what they are learning so that the students really understand what they are learning and why it is important.
